Joachim Herz Foundation
The Joachim Herz Foundation, a non-profit, financially independent and non-partisan institution works predominantly on an operational level and is mainly active in the areas of science, business and personal skills. Within these three areas it also funds small, innovative projects. Since 2017, the foundation has furthermore lent its support to medical and legal research projects. The Joachim Herz Foundation was established in 2008 and is considered a major German foundation.
The foundation also supports the “Space for education project”, a collaboration between the Haus der Astronomie and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to provide educational materials on space travel and in particular Alexander Gerst’s Horizons mission.
